I’m Jayd, the only blogger at books, food & other things. I’m female, I live in the UK and I’m currently studying my A-Levels. I’m hoping to go on to university and study Literature with creative writing. But, I need to get the grades first!
I read lots of books, and sometimes I review them too! I enjoy YA, some paranormal, some fantasy, but I hate romance as a genre… I don’t mind it too much as a sub-theme in books though. I’ll read mostly anything, but those are the genres I like best.
I either purchase my books, borrow them with my beloved library card, or I recieve them as eARCs on NetGalley.
I also write. My short story, Weightless, appears in ‘Night Shade, Volume One’, an anthology published by Little Bird Publishing House. I write YA of varying genres, though mostly dystopia or fantasy.
I am honest in my reviews, though I am never intentionally rude or cruel. Just because I may not like a book, doesn’t mean that it isn’t good, or won’t have other fans.

Hiya Jayd, loving your blog theme! I’m a female book blogger from the UK too. 🙂 I hope the ALevels are going well and not cramping your reading style too much, I still remember how horribly stressful they were two years later. Eeek.

Sweet! I need to get a copy of Nightshade Vol. 1, I had no idea. I’m with you on Romance as genre. I’ve never read any, but…shudder
